With changes from The Scout Association and the Government some restrictions have been removed from face-to-face meetings. These are as followed;
- Facemasks now encouraged to be worn but no longer mandatory for Scouts and Leaders when inside the hut.
- Social distancing encouraged but not mandatory.
- The kitchen is now open but limited to 2 people max at all times, still encouraging everyone to bring a named drink.
We will continue to have all doors and windows open to increase ventilation to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

I know that, due to the pandemic, some may be hesitant about the return to Face to Face (F2F) Scouting. This is understandable and nobody should come back until they, and/or their parents or carers are ready. We wanted to let everyone know, however, that we have put measures in place to keep everybody as safe as possible. Some of these changes include a 2 metre safe distance between all members, use of hand sanitisers when entering the Scout Hut, regular hand washing for at least 20 seconds, and Scouts and Leaders are required to wear face coverings. Plus, many more changes to help ensure everyone’s safety. We will of course be following the latest Government and Scout Association guidance and we have a COVID-19 risk assessment in place that is regularly reviewed. Leaders are happy to discuss any particular concerns that you may have and hopefully find a way forward.
